Capital Gain Tax Calculator For Shares, Mutual Funds.

I have developed capital gain tax calculator for Stocks & MF's across multiple years.


The application is an offline utility to compute capital gains or loss, summarised report and tax for each year. And its very simple, works with two clicks
first Button: to load the input transaction file
second Button: to compute the gains.

GUI comes with step by step action to be performed & help button.

In a fraction of seconds, the calculated capital gains excel file will open.

The operation is as below.

Data has to be entered to an excel sheet, containing in the below format.
stock_name, transaction type, transaction date, avg purchase price.

The application takes the excel sheet generates an output excel sheet containing summarised balance sheet & year wise split of gains across each stock.

For eg: let say there are 700 transactions or more in the each year and for every (x) shares sold, the software finds the exact set of shares bought on what date and at what price. For example, if I bought 75 shares @1000 on 31/11/2005, 300 shares bought @2500 on 3/3/2007 and sold 100 shares @2000 on 31/3/2007, I have to process this as 75 sold @2000 against 75 bought @1000 and 25 sold @2000 against 25 bought @2500 with long term gain for the first 75 sold & short term gain for next 25.

Execute application utility.
Load the excel sheet which contains the transactions as mentioned above.
Click on Compute Button to get the result excel file. The excel file contains two reports(sheets) displayed as below.





Summary Report And year wise split of transactions for each stocks.
